The northern shore of Lake Peipus is a popular holiday destination unique for its natural beauty.

Kauksi is one of the most beautiful and best-known beaches in the area. You can get to the beach of "singing sands", which is several kilometres long, via a stairway over the dunes.

You can play volleyball on the beach and children can enjoy swings. Kauksi Resort Village is also close by and it offers drinks and snacks. There are also special places for barbequing and camping on the Kauksi campsite.

There are no lifeguards on duty at Kauksi beach, so swimming is at your own risk.
