Sightseeing tower of the Great Mount of eggs

Suur Munamägi is the highest peak in the Baltics (318 meters above sea level). On a clear day, the observation tower offers views of the Estonian landscape within a 50 km radius. The tower was built in 1939 and is 29.1 meters high.

From the tower, you can see the landscape of Old Võromaa: scattered farms separated by lakes and hills.

Suur Munamägi offers views in different seasons and colors.

Suur Munamägi has been a popular tourist attraction for over a hundred years – the first observation tower was built on the hill in 1812. The current tower is the sixth version – the previous ones were either wooden or lower and were demolished or destroyed over time.
